Property Sales Advisor - Estate Agency

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join our New Client team. Our Property Sales Advisors are based in our office at South Gyle, Edinburgh.

We require a friendly and ambitious team player, who has excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will have previously worked within a sales or customer service role and have gained experience within a fast-paced work environment. You will have a proven track record in successfully working towards sales targets and have gained valuable skills in customer care.  

The Role

The role of a New Client Assistant is to form part of a dedicated sales and marketing team who are focussed on responding to new client enquiries. Your key responsibilities will focus on developing new business opportunities by gaining important information and providing our new clients with a seamless experience. You will provide up to date knowledge on current products and offers, arrange and follow up potential client appointments and support the client in the early stages of the property sales process. The team environment is busy and professional, therefore the ability to think on your feet and exert enthusiasm are essential skills. You will work closely with your line manager and colleagues in order to build an in-depth knowledge of the end to end process of property sales and purchases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the generation and follow up of sales and purchase leads;

  • To provide accurate and appropriate advice to prospective clients on all aspects of property sales and purchase

  • Supporting our new clients and responding to their incoming enquiries;

  • To either generate a property valuation quote or book a face to face valuation meeting;

  • To accurately and timely undertake all administration functions including providing clients with, and answering queries and questions regarding, our Terms of business

  • Carrying out outbound calls in a timely manner to follow up from existing client contact;

  • Advising clients throughout the sales process and outlining marketing solutions to suit their needs;

  • New client lead generation and working towards targets;

  • Ensuring processes and procedures are completed accurately;

  • Working closely with our valuation, sales and legal teams;

  • Remaining motivated and calm when under pressure;

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong telesales and customer service experience;

  • Experience delivering new product and marketing information to clients;

  • Superb written and spoken English skills;

  • Professional and have excellent telephone and keyboard skills;

  • A proven track record in a fast-paced sales environment;

  • Enthusiasm and great team working skills;

  • Experience working towards and achieving sales targets;

  • A qualification in English, Higher or equivalent; 

Desirable qualities:

  • Previous experience from a call centre environment;

  • Previous experience of working within property sales or gaining knowledge in the local property market;

  • A degree qualification;

Remuneration and package

Starting salary is £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a monthly bonus. 

Our office opening hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of this role you will be required to work on a weekend rota. Weekend hours will fluctuate throughout the year depending on workload. You will receive a monthly bonus based on hitting individual and team targets, as well as for generating leads for the business. You will also receive 30 days annual leave per annum and a statutory pension contribution.
