Property Sales Negotiator

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Property Sales Negotiator to join our busy Property Sales Team based in our office at South Gyle, Edinburgh.

The Role

Our Property Negotiators are responsible for the management of a caseload of properties for sale.  You will communicate with your clients regularly, developing strong client relationships by providing up to date advice and support throughout the property sales process. You will ensure that the best possible price is obtained in relation to the house sale whilst communicating directly with clients and solicitors to ensure that notes of interest, offers and closing dates are recorded and communicated appropriately.

The role of a Property Negotiator is fast paced. You will work closely with your line managers and colleagues to build an in-depth knowledge of the processes surrounding property sales. You will be supported by your manager to achieve your goals and develop your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating house sales on behalf of our clients;

  • Negotiating the offer on a sale, in accordance with Law Society Guidelines;

  • Responsible for the explanation to sellers in detail the conditions of their sale;

  • Researching comparable sales in the area and knowledge of what price is achievable through the negotiation;

  • Advising clients throughout the sale process, recommending the ideal marketing and pricing strategy, advising on any additional advertising that will help our clients to increase market exposure of their property in a cost-effective manner;

  • Ensuring processes and procedures are completed accurately;

  • Efficient lead generation and working to targets;

Key Skills and Experience

Essential qualities:

  • Superb written and spoken English skills;

  • A proven track record in delivering excellent customer service;

  • A genuine interest in the Residential Property sector;

  • A positive attitude towards teamwork;

  • Telephone sales experience;

  • A proven track record working within a fast paced sales environment;

  • Experience working towards and achieving sales targets;

Desirable qualities:

  • Previous experience of negotiating property sales or gaining knowledge in the property market;

  • A degree qualification;

We can offer a competitive salary of £18,000 to £21,000 per annum, depending upon your experience of property sales processes.

Hours of work are 37.5 per week, working Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm as standard. Every four weeks you will be required to work 11am -7.30pm, with an occasional Saturday or Sunday shift allocated on a rota basis. You will receive a monthly bonus based on hitting individual and team targets. You will also receive 30 days annual leave per annum and a statutory pension contribution.
